The Portland Children's Museum is a hands on experience that you and your family will not soon forget! With great exhibits like The Baby's Garden, Grasshopper Grocery, Water Works, and the Dig Pit - the Portland Children's Museum encourages your children to use their imagination while having fun in a safe family friendly environment. The Playopolis exhibit is open through October, then comes the Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog this Fall. For information go to portlandcm.org.
Playopolis opens July 3-Oct 11 inside and outside the Portland Children’s Museum. Outdoor activities include everything from Tuesday Munch & Music festivals, to tie-dyeing and painting Art the Car, a donated Camaro! Our indoor park features fort building among the “trees,” an Astroturf playing field for soft ballgames, giant Lincoln logs to build a summer cabin, and huge games like checkers! Each week features guests from competitive jump-ropers, steel-drum bands, the Beavers baseball team and special visits from some animal friends at the Zoo. Playopolis is a celebration of art and play with a twist of summer squeezed all around.
At Portland Children’s Museum, children age birth to ten-year-olds let their imaginations run wild with hands-on exhibits and art studios. Visit our all new Baby’s Garden for age birth-36 months. Put on a costume and take center stage in the Play It Again Theater. Make a splash in Water Works or help construct a wall in Building Bridgetown. Dig into heaps of fun in the Dig Pit, or role-play in the Grasshopper Grocery and Butterfly Bistro. Turn trash into treasures in our recycled arts studio the Garage and create a masterpiece in our Clay Studio. Catch a live performance and then relax at story time!
